Below are three new paintings in a new series I have been working on.  Like my birds, I love the idea of circus animals sitting for a portrait.  I love the process of watching their personalities evolve as I work and play.  I have several other portraits started and can't wait to see how they turn out.

Neighborhood Auction

Every year my neighborhood, Crown Heights/Edgemere Heights, has an auction with proceeds going to help keep the neighborhood beautiful. Being in a historical district, there is always a need for improvements! Below is the painting I am donating this year.

Painting Party!

I haven't done a painting party in a long time, but when my friend, Beth, asked if I would give one for her 50th Birthday, I immediately said "Yes!" She invited all her female relatives and each one painted their own individual flower. I will now take the painting and finish it for her. Below are "before" pictures. As soon as I'm finished, I will post the "after" picture.

A Darker Side

When I started this painting, I had no intention of it being dark and a little creepy. But, as I've said before, each piece takes on its own persona, and I just "go with it". I am very fond of this painting, not sure why...must be the gloomy side of me. We all have that side, mine just happened to show up in this painting!
