Several weeks ago, I went back to my home state, Arkansas, to visit my sisters and friends. Every time I go back, I have to go to The Old Mill! It is in North Little Rock, AR, in the middle of my former neighborhood, Lakewood. It is so beautiful! Believe it or not, when I was a little girl, my friends and I would walk to The Old Mill and set up house. We would play for hours pretending it was our little castle and kingdom! haha At that time, is was a bit dilapidated, but still very magical. Now, the Parks Department has taken it over and keeps it clean and planted with beautiful flowers. It seems to be a popular place for weddings and prom pictures, as I witnessed while there.
The Old Mill's claim to fame is it is featured in the first scene of Gone With The Wind!

I would have always wanted to stay a little girl..if I had grown up playing in my own castle like this.
